Bookkeeper

A local accountancy firm is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper.

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

• Carrying out VAT returns for clients
• Resolving queries and communicating with the client
• Reconciliation of Bank Accounts
• Offer cover for Payroll
• Producing Quarterly reports
• Assisting clients with transition to MTD (Making Tax Digital)
• Accurately recording data for clients
• Any other duties that are within reason of the nature of the job

We are looking for:

• Flexible; Reasonable; Adaptable; able to prioritise and multitask individual.
• Qualified in/ training towards AAT (or similar)
• Strong experience in Bookkeeping role
• Strong knowledge of the UK VAT system
• Happy to work in small teams
• Have experience in using Xero or QuickBooks (or any similar software)
• Adaptable to different client requirements

Working hours 36.25h per week:

• Monday - Thursday: 8:45 - 17:15
• Friday: 8:45 - 16:00

Salary: 25-27K based on experience
