Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Design Engineer with a strong background in large scale engineering, particularly in the design and development of rotors . The ideal candidate will be proficient in Autodesk Inventor and capable of taking ownership of rotor design projects from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop rotor systems for industrial machinery using Autodesk Inventor.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, sales, and service.
• Modify and improve existing designs based on performance data and customer feedback.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
• Travel to customer sites for design validation, troubleshooting, or project meetings when necessary.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

• Educated in relevant field, i.e. Mechanical Engineering
• Hands-on experience designing rotors and shredding equipment.
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and mechanical design principles.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems related to industrial equipment
• Experience working in a customer-facing engineering role.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK and Europe.
