Level 2 Nursery Practitioner

We are working on behalf of a Private Nursery in the Chesterfield area who are looking to appoint a permanent Level 2 Nursery Practitioners. This is a full time role, working 40 hours a week.

You'll be working in a fantastic, fast paced, busy, private Nursery with pupils aged 0-5. You'll be joining an established team with strong Nursery & Area Managers supporting you in the role and with career progression.

Interviews are being held over the next week.

Duties

• Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote learning and development.
• Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages children's growth.
• Manage behaviour positively, using appropriate techniques to guide children in their interactions.

Skills

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication.
• Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills to manage activities and guide children's behaviour effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Capability to drive initiatives that enhance the nursery experience for both children and staff.
