IT Application Engineer

Our Client are a leading communications brand with an outstanding reputation for customer service and value commitment. An opportunity has now arisen within their team for an experienced IT Application Engineer.

In this role you will provide exceptional customer experiences while supporting and operating the company's Mimecast and Managed IT services. The role is also responsible for implementing, monitoring, supporting, managing, and escalating of all Mimecast and Managed IT related services.

The ideal candidate for the role of IT Application Engineer will have:

• Significant experience in a similar role
• Strong experience in Managed IT, technologies and solutions
• Experience with administering Citrix technologies: ADC, Virtual Apps & Desktops and Citrix Cloud. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp and or XenDesktop) would be an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate by phone, in person or written
• Show initiative and act independently to resolve problems
• Demonstrate high levels of accuracy with excellent time management and organizational skills
• Experience of customer relationships with the confidence and presence to successfully discuss and advise customers
• Demonstrate ability to achieve successful outcomes in handling difficult situations and work with various customers and management levels
• Knowledge of Networking: DNS, DHCP, IP Subnetting
• Hands on experience with Wired and Wireless networking

Technical / Vendor experience:

• Microsoft 365, Windows 10 /11 (incl. WVD/VDI), Intune/SCCM, Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS), SharePoint, Teams, email security gateway tools
• Experience in supporting Mimecast products/services, ideally backed up with Mimecast Warrior and Gladiator qualifications (or equivalent with another product)
• Microsoft/Office 365 Security - Azure ATP, DLP, AIP, Windows Defender ATP
• Entra ID, Entra ID PIM
• Group Policy, Exchange, Windows Server OS, Windows desktops

Highly desirable:

• Professional certifications in any combination of:Microsoft 365 (MS-900, AZ-900, MS-700),AZ 104 (Administrator), (AZ 500 (Security Engineer),MS102 &MD102
