A leading qualifications and examinations body is seeking a
Senior IT Applications Analyst
to support and enhance a range of business systems. This role plays a key part in delivering reliable, secure, and scalable applications that support thousands of learners, including those working in government, the armed forces, and safety-critical industries.
This is an ideal role for someone with solid experience in
SQL
and a good understanding of business applications who's ready to take on broader responsibilities in application support, systems integration, and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting and improving a mix of enterprise and industry-specific applications, including
Salesforce
and
LMS platforms

Managing application releases, change control, and configuration

Working with the data stack:
SQL Server
,
Databricks
, and
Power BI

Writing and maintaining technical documentation and standard reports

Collaborating with internal users and third-party providers to resolve issues and plan improvements

Helping ensure application integrations via APIs (REST/SOAP) function reliably
What they're looking for:

At least
2 years of hands-on SQL experience
in a support or analyst role

Strong grasp of application support practices - not just front-line support, but actual systems troubleshooting

Familiarity with
Azure services

Salesforce
, or automation tools is desirable but not essential

Good communication skills and a service-minded attitude - able to work well with both technical and non-technical users
