Maintenance / Plant Manager

Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for Maintenance / Plant Manager to begin work for a well-established company in the Lewes area.

About the role:

• Working Hours - Mon - Friday
• Pay Rate - Negotiable

Role Responibilities:

• Managing and directing the maintenance / workshop team of employees and contractors in both preventative and corrective activities to maximise effectiveness.
• Oversee the management of the maintenance, service and inspection schedules identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Identify plant and machinery due for replacement or refurbishment.
• Review and manage the planned preventative maintenance programme.
• Ensure plant and machinery is running at optimal capacity and breakdowns are promptly rectified in a safe and efficient manner.
• Develop and maintain records of spare parts ordered and stock itinerary.
• Manage procurement of spares and equipment needed to ensure continued operations.
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation.
• Demonstrate experience in a similar role, ideally with a background as Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager or Mechanical Maintenance Manager.
• Have a strong technical knowledge of fixed and mobile plant.
• Any heavy industry experience is advantageous.
