Counterbalance Forklift Driver

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join one of our clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. The Forklift Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and efficiency within the warehouse.

Skills

• In date counterbalance license
• Proven history of driving a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
• Proficient in materials handling techniques and best practices.
• Experience with heavy lifting, demonstrating physical capability for demanding tasks.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts safely in a busy warehouse environment.
• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
