Stock Controller


Kinetic are recruiting for a Stock Controller for a Birmingham based client. Our client is a global, process driven manufacturing company, and a world leader in their Industry.

As a Stock Controller you will be required to operate and monitor the stock preparation process equipment in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective way. In order to be successful in this position, you must be able to work 12 hour continental shifts, including days, nights and weekends.

The role:
Monitor, operate and control the whole stock preparation process to maximum efficiency
Considering raw material usage and unnecessary process operations
Operating machinery
Monitoring, replenishing and changing production consumables when required in a safe and efficient manner
Using process control computers to monitor and problem solve
Liaising with the production team in respect of production plan
Ensuring that shift report sheets are completed and they accurately reflect the conditions of the stock preparation process
Using process knowledge and skill in the event of machine failure to ensure delivery of raw material continues in a safe and controlled manner
Assisting maintenance staff during maintenance breakdowns or blockages
Liaising with the production team colleagues to meet the required quality specifications for the production plan
Reporting and liaising with the production team leader in respect of operation, problems, efficiencies, and safety
Maintaining good housekeeping
Following and adhering to all health and safety procedures

Requirements:
Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment
Experience in stock preparation / control
Experience with process controls
5 GCSE's or equivalent
Knowledge of workplace health and safety
Ability to work under pressure
Works well within a team and individually
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Flexible - able to work nights and weekends
