The Successful CAD/CAM Programmer - Package:

• Salary: GBP45,000 per annum
• Working Hours: Dayshift 08:00am 17:00pm (Mon-Thu) and 08:00am 13:00pm (Fri)

The Successful CAD/CAM Programmer - Requirements

As a CNC CAD/CAM Programmer, you will play a vital role in programming, supporting, and improving machining operations:

• Create and prove-out CAD/CAM programs for 3 5 axis CNC milling machines.

• Support machining technicians with problem solving and corrective actions.

• Produce accurate set-up sheets, tooling logs, and fixture designs to aid efficient machining.

• Maximise machine uptime by delivering proven programs ahead of schedule.

• Assist NPI projects with programming to meet customer timelines.

• Work closely with quality teams on non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis.

• Contribute to process improvements, tooling optimisation, and lean practices.

The Successful CAD/CAM Programmer - Experience & Skills Required:

• Strong offline programming experience in Aerospace/Automotive or subcontract precision engineering.

• Skilled in CNC milling, setting/operating, and programming 3 5 axis machines.

• Proficient in CAD/CAM software (VISI, SolidWorks, SolidCAM, or similar).

• Knowledge of a wide range of metals and inspection techniques.

• Understanding of lean methodology and continuous improvement.

• Fixture design experience (desirable).

• Experience with Heidenhain language (desirable).

• Computer literate (MS Word, Excel).
