Maintenance Engineer

Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work with one of our clients on a Permanent basis. This would be working on a range of industrial machines to support with servicing, repairs, and general maintenance to ensure reduced downtime within the factoy. Our client are a leading manufacturer supplying to a wide range of industries, where you will have the opportunity to develop and progress. This role would be working for an experienced Engineering Manager who has a wealth of knowledge to support additional training.

Salary : 35,000 - 40,000 (Depending on experience)

Hours : Monday to Friday (no weekends) working 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am (weekly rotating)

Location : Northampton

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment, minimising downtime and process interruption.
• Complete mechanical and electrical repairs and part changes.
• General diagnostic responsibilities and servicing of machinery.
• Manage varied machines including hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
• Support Engineers with project work and take ownership of projects when qualified.
• Carry out a variety of duties independently following documented procedures.
• Assist with logistical tasks, such as equipment relocation.
• Promote teamwork and collaboration across all areas.

Requirements & Competencies :

• Previous experience in Maintenance or Engineering roles.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, gas, electro-mechanical, and automation systems would be preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety and general health & safety.
• Good communication skills - fluency in written and spoken English.
• Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must have a hands on attitude and be willing to get stuck in.
