Category Analyst

Job Title: Category Analyst
Location: Stevenage based with hybrid working (3/ 2 office split)
Salary 28,000- 32,000 depending on experience.

Henderson Brown are supporting our client in the recruitment of a Category Analyst. In this newly created position, the Category Analyst will carry out analysis and reporting of customer category data, consumer research, and market sales across categories.

Principle Accountabilities:
Collaborating closely with the Category Manager, NPD, and Commercial teams to maintain sales information, retailer store category data, and data reporting.
Providing regular market performance updates utilising various intelligence and insight sources such as Dunhumby, Circana, Kantar and IGD.
Keeping abreast of market trends and innovations, reporting relevant findings to the internal team and external customers using data storytelling.
Conducting ad hoc reviews and reports based on specific business and customer requirements.
Performing seasonal performance reviews, including range reviews and peak events throughout the year.
Providing support to the Commercial team as needed.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications required:
Able to accurately compile data into publishable formats.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail in analysis and reporting.
Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Motivated and energetic with strong attention to detail, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Highly numerate with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly grasp databases.
