Marquee Labourer

Field and Lawn Ltd are a national company made up of four divisions: Event Marquee hire, Industrial Structures, Festive Lighting and Placemaking. With bases in Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol, and London, we have seen consistent growth each year across all our divisions.

We are now recruiting for Marquee labourers who are eager to develop their knowledge and learn new skills. This will be a unique and diverse role within the industry. We are committed to developing the right person through training and experience into a competent all-rounder, incorporating Festive Lights, Placemaking and Industrial Structures into their skill set. This is initially a temporary position with a view to taking the right person on to a permanent contract.

All year we provide our event marquees for a wide range of uses such as: music and food festivals, international sporting events, medical facilities, government events, security events, exhibitions, and corporate hospitality. We have also partnered up with a leading European manufacturer to supply and install custom made, permanent and semi-permanent industrial structures throughout the UK at all times of the year. These are designed specifically for the client and no structure is the same. They can be used for warehousing, workshops, canteens, loading canopies and sporting courts.

A growing element of our business in recent years has been installing festive lighting schemes from October-January. We are involved in some of the UK's biggest Christmas lighting displays such as Oxford St, Bond St, Covent Garden, big cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Kingston Upon Thames, Watford, Hackney and Cambridge.

Outside of the Christmas period we are actively involved in installing decorative flags, banners, and bunting (placemaking) into many well-known city centre streets to compliment the areas during the summer period. We are in the process of developing this sector to supply even more decorative products for high streets and public spaces.

Flexible to work predominantly Monday to Friday however also weekends when required during busy periods

A clean current driving licence would be desirable but not essential.

In return, you will get to see some fantastic locations, be a part of significant national events, receive great rates of pay and operating expenses. Rates of pay are extremely competitive with individual rates and salaries discussed after 6 months. All rates of pay will be discussed on an individual basis, depending on your skill set and experience.

Candidates would be required to operate out of our Broxburn, 7 Dunnet Way, EH52 5NN.
