We are excited to be recruiting for a Head Chef to join and lead the culinary team at our client s luxurious residential care facility in Telford, Shropshire.

As Head Chef , you'll oversee the daily kitchen operation within a modern, purpose-built care home, ensuring residents are provided with appealing, nutritious meals tailored to their needs, including specialist dietary requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading kitchen operations to deliver consistently high standards
Planning menus and ensuring dietary/allergen compliance (e.g. dysphagia diets)
Managing food stock, budget control, and supplier relationships
Overseeing kitchen cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene standards (HACCP, COSHH)
Managing staff rotas, training, and development
Working closely with care staff to meet individual resident needs
Ensuring compliance with health and safety and infection control guidelines
Must have:
Minimum 2 years experience at Sous Chef level or above
NVQ Level 2/3 in Catering or equivalent
Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
Experience of managing budgets and kitchen teams
Desirable:
Previous experience in care or healthcare catering environments
Knowledge of allergen management and specialist diets
You ll also need to be:
Passionate about food and presentation
Calm, creative and organised in a fast-paced kitchen
