Mechanical Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Product Development team at Agratas! Reporting into the overall Design Manager you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team designing our battery pack products. This role would suit a driven individual with demonstrable mechanical design experience within the automotive industry. Experience in battery pack development would be beneficial but is not required, more important is the openness and ability to learn new skills. Responsibilities: Generate concept, prototype and manufacturing drawings, reports, and specifications. Support product sourcing, purchasing and selection as required by the design process. Create and develop 3D model-based engineering design solutions. Liaise with suppliers to ensure development and delivery of designs, ensuring an optimised overall mechanical solution. Participate in technical reviews of product designs, requirements, and specifications. Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and materials selection. Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the development of battery modules and packs. Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
