Section Engineer

BCS Connect are working with a large civil engineering client, who have an opportunity for a section engineer in East Anglia. You will be responsible for working on large infrastructure schemes, initially on road schemes in Harwich and Leiston.

You will be responsible for progressing the construction process and assisting in delivering the overall project. The ideal candidate will have previous setting out experience and a background in infrastructure, including highways, roads and Earthworks.

Duties include;

• Liase with site management to complete quality take offs
• Develop knowledge and ability in completing hazard/risk assesments and method statements
• Train, manage and mentor Junior Engineers
• Manage sectional setting out requirements on site
• Manage the sectional service plans/drawings.
• Issue permits accordingly
• Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.

Requirements;

• Must have experience of working with Leica/Geomax equipment and transferring information from AutoCAD to the Surveying equipment.
• Good Understanding of ITP's and Quality assurance process

Salary + Package;

• 45,000- 50,000 Per annum
