Underwriter

The opportunity

Avencia is partnered with a leading global insurer to support the hire of an Underwriter , joining a growing team in Leeds city centre (3 days office / 2 days home). The role sits within the Professional & Management Risks team, working across financial lines including Cyber and Technology .

Key responsibilities

• Support the underwriting of renewals within defined authority
• Build strong relationships with brokers and underwriters
• Manage renewal pipelines , diary items , and follow-ups
• Provide an excellent service via phone and email
• Contribute to project work and process improvement
• Attend underwriting meetings and feedback on market trends

Skills & experience

• Insurance experience with strong technical skills
• Experience in financial lines or commercial combined
• Excellent communication , numeracy , and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Willing to study for CII qualifications
