Heat Treatment Operator

Adept resourcing are recruiting for a Heat Treatment Operator for our well-known manufacruring client in Sheffield.

The Role:

We are looking for a Heat Chargehand for the Sheffield Facility. You will be working on shifts and you will be required to assist with the creation of heat treatment data cards to achieve customer mechanical testing requirements across a range of alloys, customers and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Daily management of the heat treatment department output ensuring site Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
• Ensure all NADCAP procedures are always adhered to
• Assist the NADCAP audit along side the site Quality Engineer
• Ensuring both ISO9001 and AS9100 standards' requirements are adhered to
• Identify departmental training requirements to ensure that site and departmental accreditations are maintained.
• Ensuring procedural maintenance of the heat treatment process
• Maintain a quality communication link with the Technical team and other departmental leads.
• Manage, develop and present departmental KPI's
• Identify and manage CAPEX spend projects

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Able to read and understand customer specifications on heat treatment and material mechanical properties.
• Good understanding of NADCAP Heat treatment, AS 9100 and ISO9001 requirements
• A self-starter
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Structured and disciplined
• Competent working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
