Job Description:

As a Sliding Head Programmer, you will play a crucial role in our production process. Your duties will include:

• Developing and writing programs for various machining operations, utilizing your expertise to determine the best approaches based on material types.
• Setting up and operating machines to produce parts according to programmed instructions.
• Monitoring and adjusting machine settings to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products.
• Performing routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborating with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as G-code (Fanuc).
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials, particularly in machining materials like 316 stainless, L7/EN19, UNS 32760, Inconel, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Attention to detail and precision in work.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Shift Pattern:
Monday to Thursday, 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Shift allowance: GBP60.00 plus overtime
