ABC Teachers are seeking Secondary Teachers with experience supporting students with a broad spectrum of needs.

The Secondary School offers tailored education and support for students with diverse needs, including but not limited to Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and speech and language difficulties. Our multidisciplinary team of educators, therapists, and support staff work collaboratively to develop individualized learning plans that address each student's unique strengths, abilities, and areas for growth.

This role offers the opportunity to teach across a range of subjects, with flexibility based on the candidate's specialisms and expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and differentiated lessons across the secondary curriculum, tailored to meet the individual needs of students with diverse learning challenges, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. The Secondary Teacher will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized learning plans and interventions that support academic progress, social development, and emotional well-being. Adaptability, creativity, and patience are essential qualities in adapting teaching strategies to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment, building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and empowering every student to achieve their full potential.

The desired Secondary Teacher will possess:

Qualified Teachers Status.

Experience working with students who have additional needs and have undertaken their GCSE qualifications is essential.

A DBS Check, or readiness to undergo a DBS check.

Adaptability, resilience and compassion are key skills.

A strong understanding of how to engage students within lessons and tailor learning to fit their individual needs.

All candidates should work well in teams and individually.
