Project Engineer Hydraulics


Our client is looking for a experienced hydraulics project engineer to join an international engineering team, working within their Bradford-based headquarters. Qualifications · Degree qualified, preferably hydraulic/mechanical engineering or equivalent · Chartered/Incorporated Accreditation or actively working towards · HND/HNC/NVQL3 with experience will be considered. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Provide project management support. · Responsible for overseeing tenders, offers, design and engineering. · Provide engineering/technical support for offshore crane, troubleshooting, repairs, refurbishment, upgrades, operation and maintenance. · Provide engineering support for Hydraulic (and mechanical) equipment including spare parts sourcing, upgrades, refurbishment plans and equipment hire activities. · Engineering design related to offshore crane and hydraulic interface projects. · Preparation of workpacks and other documentation. · Project management activities including all technical and commercial aspects of projects. · Undertake offshore and onshore surveys and project workscopes. · Familiarisation with client’s and companies HSEQ policies and procedures. · Familiarisation with client’s and company Safety policy and the Safety Management System. · To identify safe and environmentally sound methods of work and systems which identify hazards at each place of work. · Be familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidance notes and good industry practice. · Plan, organise and document client work processes to deliver the required standard with minimum risk to personnel, plant, materials and the environment. · Give company personnel and subcontractors precise instruction in order to implement safe methods of work and pre-defined communication lines between client and company. Necesary experience: · Knowledge and experience on proportional control open and closed loop systems · Competence Based Hydraulics Qualification or equivalent. · BOSIET & MIST · Strong organisational skills · Good communication skills · Capable of working without supervision · Have a methodical and dynamic approach · Good understanding of HSEQ requirements offshore · Sound IT skills, MS project, excel, word etc This is an office based role in Bradford with 60-100 day per year of international travel possible.
