Manchester – central - site based role * Responsible for a mixed, Estates team * Multi-stakeholder management My client is a renowned FM service provider. They have an exciting opportunity to join an iconic, flagship site in central Manchester. You’ll be responsible for a team of experienced AP’s and the wider Estates function. You’ll be a mentoring people leader & a strong communicator that has a deep technical understanding – across M&E, HVAC, Water, BMS, Fire & Building Services. Comfortable with cross-collaborating with various internal and external parties including Projects, Assets & Compliance & Commercial. This is an exciting time of transformation and business growth. Role outline: * Reporting into the Head of Estates * Accountable for a approx. 8x AP’s / 80x engineers and 60+ subcontractors * Responsible for the development and success of the team. Ensuring they are trained, motivated and developed. * Working closely with various professionals to ensure Planned Maintenance (1 & 5-year plans) are met within statutory and contractual standards. * Cross-collaborating and communicating with the onsite customer stakeholders – across various work groups including Electrical, Water, Vent, Fire and others. * Collaborating with various specialist subcontractors and specialists * Understanding and developing the use of various systems – including BMS & automated digital asset / reporting systems. * Reporting on the team’s performance and identifying succession plans. About you: * Degree qualified preferably in an Engineering discipline, however working experience in the industry and environment with technical certification is equally considered. * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills * Prior successful experience in a large, complex, multi-usage critical site * Overall understanding of BMS, CAFM & other digital systems * Used to a busy, fast-paced, client facing environment * Enjoys thinking on their feet, has a tried and tested approach and a growth mindset If this Deputy Head of Estates role sounds like something you'd be interested in - please apply
