Small Tools Plant Fitters (PTS Required) – South of England Power & Infrastructure Resourcing are currently recruiting experienced Small Tools Plant Fitters for upcoming rail works across the South of England. Location: South of England Start date: April 2026 Weekends to start with Competitive rates of pay (TBD) 🔹 Role Overview We are looking for skilled Small Tools Plant Fitters to support rail infrastructure works, ensuring all tools and small plant equipment are maintained and operational to a high standard. This is a hands-on role requiring strong fault-finding ability and experience working with rail small tools and plant equipment. 🔹 Key Responsibilities * Inspection, maintenance and repair of small plant and tools * Fault-finding and fixing equipment on site * Ensuring tools are safe, compliant and ready for operational use * Supporting rail teams with tool replacements and urgent repairs * Maintaining accurate records of repairs and servicing 🔹 Essential Requirements * Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) – essential * Proven experience as a Small Tools / Plant Fitter * Ability to repair and maintain the following equipment: * Cobra TT breakers * Impact wrench pull cords * Triple wackers * Chamber clippers * Chainsaws (including chain replacement) * Strong mechanical fault-finding skills * Ability to work weekend shifts
