Financial Controller (Private Equity)

Join a high-performing private equity firm as their Financial Controller — overseeing group finance, fund oversight, and staff development. You’ll be second-in-command to the CFO and trusted to manage a small team, ensure reporting excellence, and help scale the firm for future fund raises and acquisitions. Key Responsibilities: * Manage monthly/quarterly reporting for the management company under UK GAAP / IFRS * Oversee NAV preparation, fund performance analysis, and investor reports * Lead capital call processes, distributions, and fund audits * Manage and mentor a small finance team (1–3 people) including Fund Accountants and Management Accountants * Oversee finance systems, ensuring integration, automation, and best-in-class reporting * Own group cash flow forecasting, treasury, and FX hedging strategies * Support M&A activity, due diligence, and integration of new SPVs/entities * Ensure FCA compliance, tax filings, and liaison with external legal/advisory partners Ideal Candidate: * ACA / ACCA qualified with 5+ years’ PQE * Strong track record in private equity, fund administration, or group finance * Hands-on leader, comfortable juggling day-to-day and strategic finance * Deep understanding of fund structures, capital accounting, and carried interest * System-savvy Why Apply? * Step into a CFO-track role in a growing firm * Work with elite partners on fund structuring, M&A, and carry schemes * Hybrid working, performance-led bonuses, and optional LTIP / carry
