SEN Teacher (KS5) – Functional Skills Maths Location: Burslem, Staffordshire Start Date: September Contract: Full-time, long-term Pay: £168 – £232 per day (paid to scale from day 1) About the Role A SEN Academy in Burslem is seeking a committed SEN Teacher to support KS5 learners. This SEN Teacher role focuses on delivering engaging Functional Skills Math to students with a range of additional needs. You will be working within a dedicated SEN setting where personalised learning and inclusive education are central to every lesson. As a SEN Teacher, you will help learners build confidence in Maths, communication, and independence skills, preparing them for life beyond education. Key Responsibilities * Deliver Functional Skills Msths, as a SEN Teacher to KS5 learners * Plan and adapt lessons within a SEN environment to meet individual needs * Support learners in achieving EHCP and Functional Skills targets * Work closely with support staff within the SEN provision * Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent * Experience working in SEN or alternative provision settings * Strong classroom Teacher experience, ideally within KS5 or Functional Skills * Ability to adapt teaching strategies for a SEN cohort * A resilient and compassionate approach as a Teacher in SEN education What’s on Offer * Competitive daily rate: £168 – £232 * Paid to scale from day one * Full-time Teacher role starting September * Opportunity to work within a supportive environment * Long-term stability and professional development How to Apply If you are a passionate SEN Teacher, apply today through Astro Education with your CV and experience in SEN education
