Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Recruiter: Alaska Black Location: North Yorkshire Salary: £48000 - £53000 Contract: Permanent The company Our client a well established food manufacturing business with multiple operations around the UK and abroad, have embarked upon an exciting growth plan and as a result they now wish to recruit an experienced and highly motivated manufacturing engineer. Located at their state of the art facility in North Yorkshire you will work as part of a team, however be expected to work on your own initaive at times. The role Tasked with the critical role of managing the plant assets, your role will be vital in ensuring continual production flow. Facing the daily challenge of minimizing downtime, your swift, calculated choices are pivotal for the operation’s success. This isn't just a job; it's a dynamic hybrid role between engineering and operations. As a crucial liaison, the manufacturing engineers work tirelessly with both teams, championing efficiency and driving performance to keep the plant at its peak. The Person You will need to be qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering) or a HNC equivalent, or time served apprentieship. You will have the capability to logically diagnose and fault find on a variety of equipment/situations and will have knowledge of SCADA or similar systems with some PLC knowledge. You will be able to work quickly under pressure and make choices to ensure the plant is always running with limited (or no) breakdowns You will have strong organisation and prioritisation skills. A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation and an OSH/NEBOSH certificate would be an advantage. Shift Pattern A mixture of days and nights, typically 12 hour shifts
