Pre-Press Operator Location: Maidstone Salary: From £34,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time Shift Pattern: Second shift / late shift Our client is a well-established specialist in large format digital print, producing high-quality signage, display graphics and visual solutions for a wide range of industries including marketing, advertising and retail. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Pre-Press Operator to join their production team in Maidstone. The Role: This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Pre-Press / Mac Operator to play a key role in preparing artwork and files for large format print production. You will ensure all files are print-ready, accurate and meet quality standards, working closely with production and design teams in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare, check and manage print-ready artwork files on Mac for large format printing * Review artwork for resolution, colour accuracy and overall print suitability * Troubleshoot and resolve pre-press issues efficiently * Work closely with production and design teams to meet deadlines * Maintain accurate records and follow quality control procedures * Ensure all work meets required technical and quality standards Requirements: * Previous experience as a Pre-Press Operator or Mac Operator within a printing environment * Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) * Experience with colour management, RIP software and large format print workflows * Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and reliably on late/second shifts * Experience with automated pre-press software is desirable * Experience using PitStop Pro is preferred What’s on Offer: * Salary from £34,000 per annum, depending on experience * Free on-site parking * Sick pay * Stable, full-time position within a growing and supportive team If you are an experienced Pre-Press Operator looking for a new opportunity within large format print production, please apply with your CV and one of our consultants will be in touch to discuss the role further
