Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - East London - September Start - Full Time We are currently recruiting for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive school based in East London for a September start. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong HLTA who is ready to take on additional classroom responsibility, deliver planned lessons, lead interventions, and support pupils across the school. The school is looking for someone proactive, reliable, and confident working with pupils across a range of abilities, including children with SEN and additional learning needs. The Role: Delivering planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher Leading small group interventions and booster sessions Supporting pupils on a 1:1, small group, and whole-class basis Assisting with classroom organisation, resources, and learning activities Supporting pupils with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs Helping manage behaviour and maintain a calm, positive learning environment Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and senior leadersThe Ideal Candidate Will: Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or have strong HLTA experience Be confident covering lessons and leading groups Have previous school-based experience Have strong behaviour management skills Be organised, adaptable, and proactive Have excellent communication and teamwork skills Be passionate about supporting children's learning and developmentThe Role Offers: Full-time long-term opportunity September start East London location Supportive school environment Competitive daily rate depending on experience Opportunity for permanent placement Excellent experience for aspiring teachers and experienced support staffIf you are an experienced HLTA looking for a new role in East London, please apply with your updated CV today.
