General Works Operator (Including Despatch Duties) Location: Sheffield Stafforce Recruitment is recruiting a hands-on General Works Operator to support workshop, stock, and despatch operations within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a varied role ideal for someone practical, reliable, and safety-focused. Pay & Benefits £12.71 - £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience) Weekly pay 39 hours per week (early finish Friday) Monday-Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 Friday: 08:00 - 15:30 23 days holiday + bank holidays Pension scheme + health cash plan (after probation)Key Duties Operate workshop machinery (cutting, drilling, bending, punching, tapping) Measure and process materials to required specifications Assist with fabrication, assembly, and laser processing support Handle goods-in, stock movement, and material control Pack, label, and prepare orders for despatch Complete job and despatch documentation accuratelyCandidate Requirements Previous manufacturing or workshop experience Good practical skills and attention to detail Reliable, organised, and safety-conscious FLT/crane experience desirable (not essential) About Us We are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
