We are looking for a Creative Strategist – Paid Social (Meta & TikTok Ads) to join a premium oral hygiene brand in Altrincham Location: Hybrid Reports to: Head of Marketing, CEO Works closely with: Video Editor Freelancers, Social Media Manager, Paid Ads Team Role Overview We’re looking for a highly skilled, experienced Creative Strategist to our client and take our paid social advertising to the next level. This role is exclusively focused on direct-response ad creative for Meta and TikTok—NOT organic social. You will be responsible for ideating, scripting, structuring, and optimising high-performing video creatives that drive scale, lower CPA, and expand our paid acquisition channels. Working closely with our freelance video editors, you’ll ensure every asset is strategically crafted, fast-paced, thumb-stopping and engineered for conversions. This is a key role for scaling the paid media engine. Responsibilities Creative Strategy & Ideation Develop end-to-end paid social creative strategies for Meta & TikTok (no organic content). Analyse performance data weekly to identify winning hooks, angles, structures, and concepts. Continuously research competitor ads, market trends, and consumer psychology to fuel creative direction. Build and maintain a creative testing roadmap to ensure constant iteration and scale. Creative Production & Execution Write high-converting scripts, storyboards, and briefs for editors and talent. Direct the creation of UGC, testimonial ads, product demo creatives, comparison ads, problem/solution ads, etc. Manage and collaborate with our freelance video editors, ensuring high-quality, brand-aligned output. Review all edits, refine, and approve before passing to the paid ads team for launch. Performance & Optimisation Monitor creative performance across all paid channels, identifying what’s working and what needs reworking. Quickly iterate new variations (hooks, CTAs, angles, edits) based on data insights. Work hand-in-hand with the paid ads manager to ensure creative matches scaling strategy. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging. Coordinate with influencer partners for paid-ads UGC-only deliverables. Provide direction and guidance to maintain creative excellence throughout the funnel. Experience 2–5+ years experience producing direct-response paid social creatives for e-commerce brands. Strong understanding of Meta and TikTok ad formats, platform psychology, and what makes a winning ad. Ability to write scripts, hooks, CTAs, and test structures that convert. Experience working with or managing video editors. Comfortable analysing creative performance data and turning insights into new ideas. Up-to-date with creative trends, editing styles, top-performing formats, and competitive landscape. Highly creative, fast-paced, detail-driven, and obsessed with performance. Bonus (Not Required) Experience in beauty, wellness, or oral-care ecommerce. Understanding of user-generated content sourcing and talent direction.
