Newington Green Primary School+1 Key Responsibilities: • Work across two Reception classes as the third adult, providing targeted support and interventions for children with SEND. • Deliver one-to-one and small-group support, especially for children on the autism spectrum or with other additional needs. • Provide intimate care when required, with sensitivity and professionalism. • Collaborate with the class teacher and Inclusion/SEND team to adapt resources and activities to individual children’s needs. • Build consistent and meaningful relationships with children so they feel supported, secure and ready to learn. • Help maintain a calm, organised and responsive environment in a lively EYFS setting, adapting to unpredictability with confidence and care. Ideal Candidate Qualities: • Previous experience working in Early Years settings (EYFS) and supporting children with SEND is essential. • Comfortable and confident in providing intimate care. • Proactive, energetic and able to keep pace in a busy, active environment. • Strong communicator, team-player and committed to forming meaningful, trusted relationships with children. • Looking for longer-term commitment (we’d prefer candidates who want to stay beyond day-to-day or ad-hoc). • Positive, resilient and solution-focused — ready to adapt as needs evolve.
