Progress Teachers are seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Birmingham-based primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support children with diverse additional needs, enabling them to thrive both academically and personally from the very beginning of their educational journey. Key Responsibilities * Support children with additional educational needs within the EYFS setting. * Implement individual development plans and support strategies under guidance from the SENCO. * Assist with classroom activities, including play-based learning and structured tasks. * Help develop children’s social, emotional, communication, and learning skills. * Observe, record, and report on children’s progress. * Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and parents to provide consistent support. Qualifications & Requirements We are looking for someone who: * Has experience supporting children with SEN in early years or primary school settings. * Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable with strong communication skills. * Has knowledge of early years development and inclusive learning approaches. * Can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. * Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent). * Holds a DBS on the Update Service OR is willing to obtain. Additional training in SEN, speech and language support, or behavioural strategies is desirable
