CV Library Ad (Optimised) Mechanical Design Engineer (Graduate / Junior Level – Step Up Role) Location: Dover Salary: £40,000 + benefits We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with around 2 years’ experience, or a recent graduate / junior engineer ready to step up into a full design role. You will join a mechanical engineering team developing robust, high-quality electromechanical products used in electrical test equipment. The role covers full product lifecycle work from concept through to production. What you’ll be doing Mechanical design of components and assemblies using 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) Creating detailed 2D drawings and BOMs Supporting product development from concept through to release Working with production to resolve design and manufacturing issues Supporting testing, validation, and design improvements Contributing to PLM and engineering process improvements What we’re looking for Degree / HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar Around 2 years’ experience, or strong graduate-level experience in mechanical design SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD experience Understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, plastics, machined parts) Interest in electromechanical design and product development Good attention to detail and willingness to learn What’s on offer Training and development Career progression in a global engineering business 25 days holiday + bank holidays Flexible working and early Friday finish Pension, healthcare plan, life assurance Free onsite parking and additional employee benefits
