Financial Controller – Loddon, Norfolk Location: Loddon, Norfolk Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Sector: Finance & Accounting Our client, a growing business based in Loddon, Norfolk, is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional looking to play a key role in driving financial performance, improving processes, and supporting strategic growth within a dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities * Oversee the day-to-day management of the finance department * Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and financial reports * Lead budgeting and cash flow forecasting processes * Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, VAT, and tax regulations * Manage year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors * Monitor financial performance and provide commercial analysis to senior management * Develop and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes * Supervise and mentor finance team members * Support strategic decision-making through detailed financial insight and analysis * Manage banking relationships and oversee treasury functions * Ensure accurate payroll oversight and financial reconciliations Candidate Requirements * ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent) * Previous experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance position * Strong technical accounting knowledge * Excellent analytical and commercial awareness * Experience managing teams and improving financial processes * Strong systems knowledge including Excel and accounting software * Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business * Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Desirable Experience * Experience within SME or growing businesses * Exposure to construction, engineering or commercial sectors What’s on Offer * Competitive salary package * Opportunity to influence and shape the finance function * Supportive and collaborative working environment * On-site parking * Holiday allowance and additional company benefits This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Financial Controller looking to join a stable and forward-thinking business where they can make a genuine impact.
