Job Title: Mechanical Fitter (Substation Project) Location: Moray West / Blackhillock, AB55 5PA Start Date: ASAP Duration: Approx. 32 Weeks (320 Hours Minimum) Hours: 50 Hours Per Week (10 Hours Per Day) Contract Type: Contract IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Positions Available: 1 Rates: LTD / Umbrella (Outside IR35) £29.12/hour - First 37 Hours £30.87/hour - After 37 Hours / First 4 Hours Saturday £33.65/hour - After 4 Hours Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holidays PAYE: £21.54/hour - First 37 Hours £22.84/hour - After 37 Hours / First 4 Hours Saturday £24.90/hour - After 4 Hours Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holidays We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for a long-term contract opportunity with our client on the Moray West / Blackhillock project. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified fitter with substation, power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial installation experience to join a major energy infrastructure project. Please note: A Telehandler ticket is essential for this role. The Role: You will be working as part of theour clients site team, supporting mechanical installation activities on a major substation project. Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor / Chargehand, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Carry out mechanical installation activities as directed by site management Work in line with all client procedures and site safety requirements Support site supervisors and chargehands with daily installation activities Proactively complete allocated task cards within required project timescales Highlight any potential delays or issues in advance Maintain compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards Assist with project documentation where required Ensure accurate submission of timesheets and associated paperwork Requirements: Essential: Apprentice trained OR NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in a relevant mechanical discipline Minimum 1-2 years' experience working on electricity supply industry construction sites or similar environments National Grid Person Valid Telehandler ticket - NPORS or CPCSExperience within: HV substations Power generation Oil & Gas Heavy industrial construction CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport Manual Handling Working at Height Fire Safety AwarenessPersonal Attributes: Strong team player Proactive and positive attitude Good communication skills Strong awareness of site safety Ability to work independently when required Solution-focused approachIf you're a mechanically qualified fitter with substation experience and the required telehandler certification, we'd be keen to hear from you immediately.
