Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Welling Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract | April Start A welcoming and supportive primary school in Welling is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team full-time from April on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupil progress and contributing meaningfully to classroom learning across the school. The Role Work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning, while also leading whole-class sessions where required. Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher Supporting small groups and individual pupils to accelerate progress Assisting with planning and preparation of learning activities Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs Contributing to assessment and pupil progress tracking Requirements Applicants should: Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience Have experience working within a primary school setting Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills Have GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or recognised equivalents Be confident leading whole-class learningA proactive, adaptable and professional approach is essential, along with a genuine commitment to supporting children's development.
