Senior Construction Manager

Position: Senior Construction Manager Location: Peterborough with hybrid working available and travel across the region Salary Guide: £90k (Neg DOE), Car/Allowance, Bonus and excellent benefits package Our Client: Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting eight long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly in joint ventures and alliances. Our client is part of Anglian Water's @one Alliance. The Alliance is set to deliver a record £2.6 billion of the water company's overall investment in AMP8, with much of this work specifically targeted at protecting and enhancing the East of England's natural environment and providing resilience to climate change. This investment portfolio forms part of Anglian Water's wider, record £9 billion proposed plans for AMP8, which will see a huge programme of much-needed investment between 2025 and 2030. The Role: You will lead and inspire our client's delivery teams across a diverse and ambitious capital programme. This pivotal role will oversee the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of major and minor construction projects, ensuring that every build contributes to a sustainable future for communities and environment. Responsibilities: Lead and develop high-performing construction delivery teams, promoting collaboration, safety and continuous improvement. Oversee construction strategy and delivery across multiple complex projects, ensuring they're completed safely, on time and within budget. Drive innovation and new ways of working through the supply chain, improving safety, quality and efficiency. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Anglian Water, Alliance partners and external suppliers. Lead cost control and resource planning to maximise value and performance across all programmes. Champion health, safety, wellbeing, and environmental excellence, fostering a zero-accident culture. Promote inclusion, fairness and respect across all teams and partners. Experience: Qualification in a construction related discipline. An experienced construction leader with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure projects that make a real difference. Significant experience in large-scale construction management - ideally within the water, utilities or infrastructure sector. A deep understanding of construction techniques, engineering processes, and project planning. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage multidisciplinary teams. Proven experience managing budgets, contracts, and stakeholder relationships. A forward-thinking approach - open to innovation, collaboration and change.
