NexGen Consultancy LTD are currently recruiting for a Junior Buyer/Office Administrator to join a reputable sub contract, precision engineering company on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a subcontract milling company specialising in precision manufacturing. We're looking for a Junior Buyer/Office Administrator to join their team. The Role: This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in purchasing. You'll split your time between junior purchasing duties and office administration, with a clear development path toward becoming a Buyer. Key Responsibilities: Purchasing (60%) * Raise purchase orders for tooling, consumables and general supplies * Obtain quotes and maintain supplier records * Monitor delivery schedules and chase outstanding orders * Liaise with suppliers on orders, quality, and delivery matters * Support inventory management and stock monitoring * Process supplier invoices Office Administration (40%) * Provide general administrative support to the team * Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence * Maintain filing systems and databases * Manage office supplies and deliveries What We're Looking For: Essential: * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Excellent communication skills * Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines * Proactive attitude and willingness to learn Desirable: * Any purchasing or procurement experience * Experience in manufacturing or engineering environment * Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems What We Offer: * Competitive salary * Career development opportunities with progression to Buyer role * On-the-job training in purchasing and procurement If you feel you are the right candidate for the role, apply now
