Usher – Casual Hours (Evenings & Weekends) – E1 Location Location: London E1 Hours: Casual – primarily weekends and occasional weekday evenings We are seeking professional, confident, and customer-focused Ushers to join our Front of House team, This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible, casual work in a vibrant events environment. About the Role Our Ushers play an essential part in delivering an exceptional guest experience. You will be the welcoming face of our venue and help ensure that events run efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities * Greeting guests and assisting them to their allocated seats. * Providing clear directions and maintaining a friendly, approachable presence. * Remaining inside the auditorium during events to uphold safety, comfort, and security standards. * Acting as a Fire Marshal in the event of an evacuation, ensuring guests exit the building safely and calmly. * Supporting events that may occasionally cover sensitive or controversial topics, maintaining professionalism at all times. What We’re Looking For * Strong communication skills with a good command of English. * Confident, clear, and comfortable engaging with members of the public. * Professional, approachable, and attentive with a proactive attitude. * Adaptable and open-minded, with the ability to work within environments reflecting a wide range of audiences and viewpoints. * Reliable, punctual, and able to follow clear safety and security procedures. Shift Pattern * Mostly weekend shifts (Saturdays & Sundays). * Occasional weekday shifts for larger university events such as Open Days. * Hours vary depending on event schedules
