Job Description – Customer Service Advisor (Automotive Manufacturer & Distributor) Location: Perry Barr Hours: Full-time, 9:00am – 4:30pm (occasionally until 5:00pm, paid overtime) Start Date: New Year Salary: Starting at approx. £26,500, reviewed after 6-month trial period to approx. £28,000 Holidays: 28 days per annum including bank holidays and 1-week Whitsun shutdown; 11 days are “floating” About Us We are a long-established manufacturer and distributor of automotive and service parts, supplying high-quality components throughout the UK and internationally. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a friendly and technically minded Customer Service Advisor to support our clients and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Role Overview The Customer Service Advisor will act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries, orders, and product support. This role involves helping customers with product information, processing orders efficiently, and ensuring excellent service throughout the sales cycle. Some engineering or technical knowledge is beneficial to understand our products and provide accurate advice. Key Responsibilities * Handle inbound customer enquiries via phone and email in a friendly and professional manner * Provide product information and basic technical guidance to customers * Process orders, quotations, returns, and customer account updates * Liaise with internal teams (sales, purchasing, warehouse) to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction * Maintain accurate records and ensure all customer interactions are logged * Support account managers with administrative tasks and follow-up * Help identify opportunities for up-selling or promoting relevant products (light sales element) * Assist with general office and customer service tasks as required Key Requirements * Previous experience in customer service, customer support, or administrative roles * Technical or engineering knowledge is an advantage (automotive experience beneficial but not essential) * Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-first approach * Good organisational skills and attention to detail * Confidence using office software and order-processing systems * Ability to work well within a small and supportive team * Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn about our product range What We Offer * Paid overtime when required * 28 days holiday including bank holidays and Whitsun shutdown * Company performance-related bonuses (paid end of May and November/Christmas) * Friendly, stable working environment with training provided * Opportunity to develop product knowledge and grow within the company
