Retail Store Manager – Jewellery Location: Plymouth, Devon Salary: DOE + Annual Performance-Related Pay (APRP) Hours: Full-time (up to 41.25 hours per week) Working Hours: * Monday–Saturday: 8:45am – 6:00pm * Thursday: Early & late shift rotation (8:45am – 8:00pm) * Sunday: 10:15am – 4:30pm * Includes one full weekend off per month and one additional weekend day off each month The Company We’re recruiting on behalf of a long-established, award-winning jewellery retailer with multiple stores across the South of England. The Role We’re looking for an experienced Retail Store Manager with a background in fine jewellery or luxury retail. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a talented team of 14 people, including two Assistant Managers, in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for driving sales, managing day-to-day store operations, and fostering a high-performing team culture. You’ll take ownership of staff rotas, recognising weekends as peak trading periods, while benefiting from one full weekend off and one additional weekend day off each month. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll also collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and represent your store at the annual new season buying and collection meeting. Key Responsibilities * Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of 14, including two Assistant Managers * Drive sales performance and ensure excellent customer service * Plan and manage staff rotas to optimise coverage during busy periods * Maintain strong visual merchandising, stock control, and store presentation * Recruit, train, and develop team members through effective coaching and reviews * Monitor KPIs, analyse sales trends, and report results to senior management * Ensure all store operations meet health, safety, and compliance standards About You * Proven experience in fine jewellery or luxury retail management * Strong leadership and people management skills * Commercially aware, target-driven, and results-focused * Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities * Confident using Microsoft Office and till/POS systems (Bransom experience advantageous) * Hands-on, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences Benefits * £35,000 salary + Annual Performance-Related Pay (APRP) * Full JET (Jewellery Education Training) – industry-recognised qualification * 29 days annual holiday (including bank holidays) * Workplace pension * Opportunity for the Store Manager to attend new season buying and collection meetings * Regular collaboration with senior stakeholders and the Managing Director * Supportive and professional environment with ongoing training and career development How to Apply If you’re an experienced Retail Manager from a fine jewellery or luxury retail background, and you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity to lead a successful team, we’d love to hear from you
