Physical Education Teacher

PE Teacher Location: Reading (RG7), Berkshire Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Term-Time Only) Start Date: January 2025 UET1 Are you an energetic and dedicated PE Teacher looking to inspire young people through sport and physical education? The successful candidate will support pupils’ physical, social, and emotional development through high-quality teaching and an inclusive programme of physical activities. About the Role: * Plan and deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons across key stages 3 and 4, and contribute to extra-curricular sport provision. * Foster a positive, inclusive environment where all pupils feel encouraged to participate and achieve. * Use performance monitoring and target-setting to track progress, evaluate outcomes, and raise standards. * Work collaboratively with the PE team and wider staff to develop the curriculum, enhance teaching and learning, and promote healthy lifestyles. * Contribute to school-wide events, competitions, and enrichment activities to enhance the profile of sport and physical education. What We're Looking For: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. * Proven experience teaching PE in secondary schools, including delivering GCSE (or equivalent) level PE is highly desirable. * Excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom presence, and effective behaviour management skills. * The ability to inspire, motivate, and engage pupils of all abilities in physical activity and sport. * Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive and reflective approach. * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
