Senior Acoustic Consultant

Job Title: Senior Acoustic Consultant Location: Bristol Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Benefits We're working with a progressive environmental and acoustic consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Acoustic Consultant to its Bristol team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on varied and high-profile work across sectors such as education, healthcare, residential, commercial, and performance spaces - with a strong focus on sustainable and forward-thinking design. In this role, you'll apply both technical knowledge and creative problem-solving to deliver robust, innovative acoustic solutions. You'll lead complex project delivery, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the ongoing development of the practice. What's on Offer Salary of £45,000-£55,000 (depending on experience) 33 days' annual leave with the option to buy or sell Support for up to two professional memberships Cycle to Work and travel benefit schemes Inclusive and family-friendly leave policies Hybrid working within a modern, collaborative Bristol office Key Responsibilities Lead and manage building acoustics projects from early design through to completion Prepare accurate acoustic reports and design documentation in line with UK standards Carry out noise, vibration, sound insulation and environmental assessments Use industry software such as ODEON, CATT, Cadna/A, INSUL and Revit Work closely with other disciplines to support integrated BIM-led design Mentor and develop junior team members About You Strong background in building acoustics Confident communicator with excellent organisational and client-facing abilities Knowledge of UK acoustic standards, construction methods and regulatory frameworks Degree in Acoustics or a related discipline; MIOA accreditation desirable If you're interested in this opportunity - or would like to discuss other roles in Acoustics or Environmental Consultancy - please get in touch with Abi King at Penguin Recruitment This is a permanent position.
